Official description
RANGDAY YA-ALLAH
The Color of Return
An original contemporary Sufi prayer by Dr. Zarf-e-Noori, presented by SufiPulse USA.
“Color me again, O Allah — before the world paints me wrong.”
Rangday Ya-Allah is a prayer of return.
It speaks to the heart that has absorbed the colors of fear, ego, distraction, and worldly pressure until it no longer recognizes its spiritual orientation.
The kalam asks not for another identity, but for purification.
Color me with mercy.
Color me with remembrance.
Color me with surrender.
The “color” in this work is not outward appearance.
It is the inward condition of the soul.

◆ WHY THIS WORK
Rangday Ya-Allah asks what happens when the world colors the self faster than the heart can examine what it is becoming.
Ambition leaves a color.
Fear leaves a color.
Pride leaves a color.
Loss leaves a color.
Love leaves a color.
The prayer turns toward Allah and asks for another coloring — one shaped by mercy, humility, remembrance, and return.

◆ EDITORIAL NOTE
The imagery of Divine color belongs to devotional language in which transformation is described through dye, light, polishing, washing, and illumination.
This composition uses color as a metaphor for inward formation.
The world paints through pressure and imitation.
The prayer asks to be recolored through remembrance.
The movement is not toward sameness.
It is from distortion toward sincerity.

◆ WRITER’S NOTE
“Color my soul” is poetic language.
It does not describe a physical process or reduce the Divine to visible color.
The metaphor points toward spiritual transformation: mercy replacing hardness, humility replacing ego, remembrance replacing distraction, and surrender replacing the illusion of control.
The prayer does not ask to escape the world.
It asks to return without being owned by its colors.
