Who are you beneath your name, religion, nationality, language, profession, reputation, and inherited identity? Bulla Ki Jaana Main Kaun begins where labels stop being enough. The kalam does not erase faith, history, or community. It questions ego that mistakes every label for the whole self. Bulleh Shah’s voice moves through negation: not this, not that, not the identity others assign, not even the identity the ego constructs. What remains is mystery. “Bulla ki jaana main kaun.” I do not know who I am. The confession is not emptiness.
