LET MANSUR SPEAK The Voice That Cried Ana al-Haqq | A Sufi Reflection on Mansur al-Hallaj, Truth & Sacrifice A contemporary Sufi reflection presented by SufiPulse USA. Let Mansur Speak turns toward Husayn ibn Mansur al-Hallaj — the 10th-century mystic whose name remains inseparable from the cry: “Ana al-Haqq.” I am the Truth. The phrase still burns where mystical language, theology, authority, and love collide. This work asks why some words continue to burn long after the speaker is gone. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ◆ WHY THIS WORK Al-Hallaj has been remembered as mystic, poet, controversial teacher, ecstatic lover, condemned heretic, and martyr of spiritual truth — depending on the tradition interpreting him. What happens when inward experience becomes public speech? What happens when spiritual language is heard by institutions that understand it differently? What price can truth carry when conviction refuses silence? ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ◆ EDITORIAL NOTE Mansur al-Hallaj was executed in Baghdad in 922 CE after a complex process involving religious, political, and legal factors. It is too simple to say he was executed only because he uttered “Ana al-Haqq.” Many later Sufi readings understand the phrase through fanā — the effacement of ego before Divine Reality — rather than as a literal claim that al-Hallaj was God. This release presents that devotional reading without declaring it the only one. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ◆ WRITER’S NOTE “Let Mansur Speak” is poetic resurrection, not literal return. Descriptions of al-Hallaj as “the voice of God,” of his words as prophecy, or of mystical truth as automatically superior to religious scholarship are not doctrinal claims. Allah alone is Divine. A human being does not become Allah through mystical experience. Fanā here means self-effacement and surrender — not identity with God. The fire is metaphor. The sacrifice is historical. The question remains alive. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ◆ RELEASE RECORD Title: Let Mansur Speak English Context: The Voice That Cried Ana al-Haqq Form: Contemporary Mystical Sufi Anthem / Reflection Subject: Husayn ibn Mansur al-Hallaj Lyrics, Composition & Creative Direction: Anonymous Sufi Seeker Presented by: SufiPulse USA Production: SufiPulse Studio USA Language: English / Sufi devotional context Genre: Mystical Sufi • Spiritual Anthem Themes: Mansur al-Hallaj • Ana al-Haqq • Fanā • Truth • Sacrifice • Conscience ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ◆ OFFICIAL CREDITS Lyrics, Composition & Creative Direction: Anonymous Sufi Seeker Presented by: SufiPulse USA Production: SufiPulse Studio USA ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ◆ LYRICS • LANGUAGES • COMMENTARY Official lyrics, translations, commentary, and historical notes are maintained through the SufiPulse USA release archive. It does not romanticize persecution as proof that a person is correct, nor assume institutions are wrong merely because they challenge mystical claims. Instead, it keeps the harder question open: How should language born in ecstatic experience be heard, interpreted, tested, and remembered? The song chooses not to silence Mansur. It lets the question survive him. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ◆ SUFIPULSE USA SufiPulse USA is a global sacred-media platform for original Sufi music, mystical poetry, sacred storytelling, spiritual reflection, and digital archives inspired by Kashmir and the wider Sufi heritage.
