Dr. Zarf-e-Noori witnessed this seeker’s three-year journey around the darbar of Dr. Ghulam Mohammad Kumar of Ganderbal — Kumar Sahib. “From needle’s hell to Noor’s bright dawn.” The light is metaphor. His identity is intentionally withheld. For about three years, the writer witnessed his struggle and recovery around Dr. Kumar’s darbar, where both were seekers under the same Murshid. That witness is personal and spiritual, not a clinical case record. Spiritual companionship should not be read as evidence that spiritual intervention alone treats opioid or heroin dependence.
