The song draws upon the cultural memory of Habba Khatoon and Lal Ded to speak about women still shaped by silence, sacrifice, dowry, unequal custom, broken relationships, and the pressure to endure without being heard. “Aaj ke Habba hoon.” Habba becomes a mirror. The figure is historical.
